State Police Report – June 23, 2011

Brison Wolfe, 29, of Duncannon is accused of altering checks written to him by B&C Custom Homes, Duncannon, at 1st National Bank of Marysville in Penn Twp., Duncannon, between March 15 and May 20. Police said he also stole several blank checks from the victim and wrote them out to himself.

Wolfe was charged with multiple counts of theft and forgery.

Rebecca Clegg of Millerstown reported plastic bags containing wood fuel burning pellets were cut June 10-11 in the first block of S. Market St.

Brandon Sheaffer of Shermans Dale reported several items were taken between 6 and 8 p.m., June 8, from the outside and inside of his residence in the 300 block of Fox Hollow Road, Carroll Twp.

State police investigated a suspicious looking vehicle in the area of Babylon and the Riviera Tavern in Reed Twp., Dauphin County, at 9:30 p.m., June 11. They later discovered that Joe Lenn Smith, 40, of Duncannon had been stripping parts from the unattended vehicle, which belonged to a 26-year-old Cumberland, Pa., woman. Police said Smith had removed the catalytic converter earlier in the week and removed two tires on June 11.

Smith was charged with two counts of theft, two counts of theft from a motor vehicle, possessing instruments of crime and stripping of abandoned vehicles.

Jeremy Yeager of Newport reported old furniture was left in the 1500 block of Newport Road in Miller Twp. at 7:30 p.m., June 11.

Caitlynn Glenn, 19, of Duncannon lost control of her vehicle at 7:47 p.m., June 19, in the first block of Creek Road, Penn Twp. The vehicle hit a stone retaining wall.

Glenn reported minor injuries. She was charged through district court.

State police confiscated three marijuana plants growing outside a residence on June 5 in the 300 block of Montebello Farm Road, Wheatfield Twp.

On June 2 while attempting to serve a warrant in the 200 block of Church Street in Duncannon, state police observed a marijuana pipe.

A 45-year-old Carroll Twp. man was arrested June 6 for violating a protection-from-abuse order from a 46-year-old Carroll Twp. woman at approximately 11:25 p.m., June 4, in Carroll Twp. He was charged with a PFA violation and arraigned in Perry County Court of Common Pleas.

Former Perry County, Pennsylvania, President Judge C. Joseph Rehkamp has recently filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy protection, reporting assets of $5,982 with liabilities of $914,830. According to the bankruptcy filing, Rehkamp’s liabilities include $23,345 in taxes, $15,841 in domestic support and $513,372 in mortgages held by The Bank of Landisburg.
