Church Activities: June 25, 2011

Anniversaries

Community Missionary Baptist Church,: 920 Amity Drive, will have its 87th Anniversary service at 3 p.m. Sunday. Guest orator will be the Rev. Lenorris Dixon, priest of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, along with choirs and congregation. Dinner will be served right away subsequent to the sunrise exaltation service.

Trinity Lighthouse Church,: 490 South Ruffner Road, will have a pre-anniversary service at 5 p.m. Sunday for Dr. Robert Jackson. Pastor Robin Davis with Living Water Ministries in Montgomery will be guest speaker.

Miscellaneous

The Family Worship Center in Chesapeake: will unite fireworks at two tent locations. They are now at Crossing Mall at Elkview and will be at Kmart in Kanawha City starting June 27.

Winfield Church of the Nazarene,: located at 2928 Winfield Road, Winfield, will have a back yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 9. The sale will help account the Women’s Ministry. Various things will be for sale and donations are gladly accepted. Iced tea or lemonade will be featured.

The Meadowbrook Freewill Baptist Church,: W.Va. 114 North on top of Capital High School, will have a prohibited dog and bake sale commencement at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Mount Olivet Deaconess Council: will present its 2011 Queen at 6 pm. Saturday at Levi Baptist Church in Rand. The Vandalia Male Chorus, The Walker Brothers and Riverview Trio will sing.

Music

The West Virginia Gospel Music Association: will have a gospel sing at 6 p.m. July 2 at the UMWA Hall, Cannelton Hollow Road. Singers will be the new Prophets, Joe Mullins, No Other Name, Millie Tate, King’s Harmony Quartet, Tom Auxier, The Collisons Trio and Greg Edens. Steve Wood will be the emcee. The Annual Summersville Sings the Gospel Freedom Sing: will be hold at 6 p.m. July 2 at the Summersville Southern Baptist Church, Irish Street, Summersville. The sing honors veterans, active military, nation and God. Veterans and active army are invited as special guests. Singers add The Pomeroys from Richwood, Brian Angus from Cowen, The Deal Brothers fro Craigsville, Martha Bell from Summersville, Gary and Brenda Perrine from Cowen, Amy Perkins from Summersville and The Freedom Gospel Choir.
