Age of Empires Premium Content Revealed
Age of Empires Online is launching on August 16, and it's looking like a lot of fun -- check out Kat's preview from January of this year to find out more.
Today, Microsoft has announced three new pieces of premium content that will be available for the free to play game. No prices have been given yet, but we do know they'll be with us by the end of 2011.
The Celtic Civilization pack allows players to explore the snowy northern wastes and take on new units. The Woad Raiders, Druids and Celtic Swordsmen are waiting for players with this pack.
The Persian Civilization pack is based on the height of the powerful Persian Empire. It features new gear and Advisor cards as well as Immortal, Persian Archer and Attack Elephant units for players to use.
For those looking to extend the already-considerable lifespan of the game, the Skirmish Hall Booster Pack adds potentially limitless hours of gameplay. Players can set up their own customized scenarios by choosing starting Age, starting forces, resources, difficulty levels and number of opponents, up to three.
