Labor could become the "new greening" as the top concern in the Florida citrus industry if state or federal lawmakers succeed in enacting tough, new immigration restrictions. "With e-Verify and no workable system to provide labor, we'll have a problem," said Frank Hunt III, president of Hunt Bros. Cooperative in Lake Wales, a grower and packinghouse operator. "Without immigrant labor, we won't be getting the fruit picked." Hunt was referring to the federal government's e-­Verify system, an online database that can be used to establish the citizenship status of workers. The state Legislature this year rejected requiring Florida employers use e-Verify for new workers, but Gov. Rick Scott and supporters said they would try again next year. How I can go back to school with diabetes? D: Help?

I was diagnosed with type 1 during the winter holidays. Of course I am dependent of insulin-I take Humulin N (lasts 12 hours) in the morning and evening. Volume Humalog when my blood sugar is over 300. My doctor does not really want me take too much insulin … It's a little strict with that. I can take a drive if my glucose is 300 or up -.- 2 for 400 or more, 3 for 500 and up, etc. My doctor wrote in a role that I will not take insulin at school, though? My blood sugar was 537 when I was diagnosed! I ate lots of carbohydrates. Soooo ….. IdK what do. I'm going to look like a freak finger prick all the time and having to eat every 5 seconds): What was your experience of going to school with the diabetes? Oh well, have Humulin N 11 units am and 10 pm. My doctor is still trying to see how it affects me Humalog and really do not want my bs to shrink. Yes is an endocrinologist. I admit that 300 is very high.

hey! i was diagnosed at age 11, so for now just a part of my life (I have in my 30 years).when I was in high school, I had had diabetes for several years, so he did not feel so strange - especially since what he was doing (eating control, checking the levels of blood sugar, and taking insulin) is what kept me alive and taking care .* * with him, I had the opportunity growing, have two children, and have no detrimental effect on her. but it must "take the odd Ness" for staying healthy and happy. For example, take a rapid-acting insulin such as Regular or Humalog for meals. I agree that a unit of 300 is very low – for adults, say a unit is reduced glucose levels by about 70 points, for a drive that down to 230, which remains high. doh! Incidentally, I def friends who knew I had diabetes – that way, if you really need sugar for an insulin reaction, or it felt light-headed, knew what was happening! i never stopped blood sugar, but knowing that my friends knew what to do if i * is * really mattered.
